Storytelling for a Purpose – Putting Stories to Work

Whether we are shaping social policy, building a brand, or changing the direction of a business, good stories are needed to help us achieve our goals.

Please join us for a conversation where we’ll discuss the planning and execution of those stories. Among the things we’ll consider: What essential steps apply to all acts of good storytelling? What approaches change with the situation? How can we create a clearing for stories to be powerfully told and truly heard?

This is the sixth conversation in an ongoing series on Storytelling for a Purpose. The Kitchen Table is a perfect place for a freewheeling conversation, to share some stories; unpacking the principles and techniques that make practical stories most effective. This forum offers an opportunity to explore ideas and gather insights with passionate professionals across the private, public and non-profit sectors. All levels of experience and insight are encouraged.

We are grateful to the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) for access to their community work space.

*Please note, CSI locks their doors at 7pm weekdays. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can greet you.
